There are two base chapels: Chapel 1, located on the main base; and Chapel 2, located in the family housing area. The chapel staff maintains normal duty hours at Chapel 2; however, a duty chaplain is available on a 24-hour basis by calling the command post at (661) 277-3040. The chapel staff and volunteers host groups of men, women, youth and children in Bible study, religious initiation, instruction, social ministry, confirmation and service, as well as personal growth, parenting guidance and marriage enrichment. Protestant and Roman Catholic worship services are held regularly at both chapels. Islamic prayer meetings are held at Chapel 1. The Chapel Food Closet and the Edwards Emergency Relief
Fund are available to Airmen experiencing financial hardship and looking for assistance in obtaining food items or financial relief. Referrals should be made initially through first sergeants.
